Video Frequency

Because the video has a frequency of 450Hz, it doesn't sound quite right when playing along with it. Most guitar tuners have the ability to choose + or - 50Hz either side of normal tuning (440Hz). In this case, set the tuner to +50 Hz to the right of center (440Hz), and tune each string accordingly. If you are tuning bottom 'E', the tuning arrow needs to reach +50 on the tuner. The same applies to each string.

🎸 Beginner Guitarists

Go over all the chord charts and familiarize yourself with them before playing the song so that you don't have to keep stopping and starting when you reach an unfamiliar chord.

The slash chords which include leading bass notes Dm7/G, F/G, G/F, Ab/Bb can all be played without the bass notes, but they do add a nice touch. Some of them require a bit of a stretch for smaller hands but give them a go and see what you think.

Chord charts include easier voicings for Bb, Ab, Ab/Bb, and Gm7.
The following is a very handy three‑note Eb voicing which you will use time and time again.
It’s built by taking a D‑shape chord and shifting it up so the shape starts at the 3rd fret, using only the top three strings.

Eb: Eb-Bb-G
🎸 Frets Notes Fingers
e|---3--- ← G 2nd
B|---4--- ← Eb 3rd
G|---3--- ← Bb 1st
D|-------
A|-------
E|-------

Because the Bb is the lowest pitch, this shape functions as the 2nd inversion of Eb (written as Eb/Bb in chord‑symbol language). But in practice, guitarists simply call this an Eb voicing, and it sounds great in almost any context.

Playing along with the video: If you are not comfortable playing barre chords, you can stop the video at the key change, move the capo to the 4th fret, restart the video, and continue to play the chords from the previous chorus in C Major like so:

         C Em7
Chorus: No-bo-dy gets too much hea-ven no more
                   F
It's much hard-er to come by
             C Dm7/G
         I'm wait-ing in line
         C Em7
No-bo-dy gets too much love a-ny-more
                 F
         It's as high as a moun-tain
             C Dm7/G
         And hard-er to climb...

This song is beautifully presented and well worth the extra effort required to master it.
