Climb Every Mountain chords

from The Sound Of Music

Lyrics: Richard Rodgers / Music: Oscar Hammerstein

Music: Key of Bb Major with a key change to B Major in 4/4 time with deep feeling in a majestic and stately fashion... maestoso

Easier in G Major: Because of the key change to Ab Major after the 3rd verse, the chords may be fairly difficult especially for beginners. It will be easier to play in G Major for the whole song. If playing with the video, place a capo on the 3rd fret, and just before the key change - pause the video and move the capo to the 4th fret and carry on.

Chords in G Major: G, G7, Gmaj7, A, Am, Am7, A7, Bm, Baug, Cmaj7, Cm6, C6, Caug, D, D7, Dm7, Dmaj7, E, Em7... don't be put off by the unusual chords as they are very easy to play... all chord charts below.

Capo on 3 if playing with the video

All the augmented chords (Eaug, Baug, Caug) can be written as E+, B+, C+. They are like major chords except the 5th is sharpened - formula: 1 - 3 - #5.
Eaug & Caug share the same notes - find out why.
